With NEKOM data standardization, existing product data can be further processed and refined. Thanks to rule-based application, many processes can also be largely automated. For example, attributes required for certain marketplaces such as gender, material, etc. can be generated directly from existing product texts. Or, based on existing attributes or product groups, products can be assigned to the required categories for your SHOP ads.

Using the plus button in the lower right corner, you can create new rules. The maintenance screen starts empty. Under Configuration, you can enter the rule title.

In the Rule Selection drop-down, you can choose from the rules currently predefined by NEKOM. Depending on which rule you select, the additional pages—including further conditions—will adapt accordingly.

In the example above, a rule was selected to assign the required SHOP category(ies) based on product groups. The rule description is always shown at the bottom. You can also choose whether this rule should run automatically (daily/weekly). Rules can be set to Active so they can be run directly in the NEKOM app as a simulation or executed for real. The additional settings then naturally vary depending on the selected rule.

Once a rule has been saved, it appears immediately in the overview of stored rules.

Rules that are currently active are also displayed directly. The search list itself can be filtered, e.g., to show only active rules.

If you click the Simulate or Execute buttons, the process is run immediately for all rules that are currently marked as Active.

Recommendation: create new rules as Active but without automatic execution. After saving, make sure that only the newly created rule is active, and then click the simulation button first to test the new rule before applying it. If the test is successful, you can either click Execute right afterwards or set up an automatic run. If the Active flag is no longer needed and the rule is set up for automatic processing, the Active flag can be disabled.

When an execution or simulation is started, the result is displayed in a pop-up.

Clicking the displayed result number shows the affected products.

Another click on the item number opens the product in the detail view.
